The 2800i is a Low Grain Refrigerant (LGR) dehumidifier. LGR dehumidifiers have better heat exchange and defrost abilities than regular refrigerant dehumidifiers, and are able to continue removing moisture in drier environments. This advantage helps the LGR 2800i work conditions with extremely low relative humidity. The LGR 2800i can pull water out of carpets and pads, subfloors, framing materials, and drywall.

This powerful LGR dehumidifier continuously monitors system performance and automatically adjusts airflow and defrost cycles for maximum efficiency, even in temperatures up to 120° F. The LGR 2800i provides high performance with low energy consumption as it uses only 8 amps at AHAM (80°F/60% RH) to produce 130 pints daily – that’s 16 gallons.

How LGR Dehumidifiers Work
Dri-Eaz low-grain refrigerant dehumidifiers operate by pulling moist air in across a very cold evaporator core. The moisture in the air condenses on the coil. In certain conditions, the machine operates in defrost mode, warming any frost that has accumulated on the evaporator coil back into water. The water collects in a tray and is pumped out through a hose. Onboard sensors continually monitor environmental conditions and system operations of the dehumidifier, including temperature and relative humidity, which can be viewed on the smart and easy to operate digital display control panel.
