The Defender is designed to take in air from 360 degrees – the air comes in through the bottom half of the unit, and exits through the top. The Defender is also energy efficient and it’s Medi-Filter® Cartridge should only need to be replaced about once a year, saving you on energy costs and filter replacement costs in the long run.

The Defenders Medi-Filter® Cartridge boasts high-quality, 3x better-than-HEPA filtration. This includes various types of pollen spores, mold spores, dust mites, pet dander, bacteria, and even viruses keeping the air you breathe fresh, clean, and safe. The Medi-Filter only needs to be replaced once per year.

Enviropure® Charcoal Wrap:

Along with the Medi-Filter® Cartridge comes the Enviropure® Charcoal Wrap. The Enviropure® Charcoal Wrap is manufactured from HEGA (High-Efficiency Gas Absorption). This natural, coconut carbon material works incredibly well at reducing harmful pollutants like smoke particles, stubborn cooking odors, pet odors, VOCs, and certain household chemical fumes. The Charcoal Wrap only needs to be replaced twice per year or every 6 months.
